Cinematic Concept
Project Tetra was a story concept for a hugely successful AAA open-world game franchise. (I can't tell you which one, but you can probably guess). Our small but mighty team was brought in to produce a concept trailer as a key element of a pitch presentation to the global executives. I was thrilled to collaborate on this project with the development team and get a peek behind the scenes at their studio.
Set in a gritty alternate future, the story explores the tension between an oppressive military government and the underground rebellion that vows to reclaim their freedom. The tone is dark, visceral, and charged with unease.
Illustrated by the insanely talented Nick Marinkovich, the visuals tap into graphic novel energy—textural, raw, and highly expressive. I brought those illustrations to life through animation, adding cinematic pacing, new textures, and motion. The visual treatment is a nod to the guerrilla street art of Cuba, capturing the unfiltered voice of local artists using stencils, wheatpaste, and spray paint.
